MY TREATMENT PHILOSOPHY

I believe meaningful change can happen best when my patients and I can build a relationship that is warm, compassionate and non-judgemental. To do this, in my evaluation, I explore together with my patients the biological, psychological and social contributors to their current challenges so that we can have a thorough understanding of who they are and what they are struggling with. I then develop a treatment plan that is personalized, takes into account my patients’ needs and preferences and can include psychotherapy, medication or both. I have experience in psychodynamic, supportive, cognitive behavior and interpersonal therapy and use the principles of these respective modalities to optimize my treatments. I also take into account any medical issues that may be impacting treatment and address sleep, stress management, mindfulness, nutrition, and exercise. I enjoy getting to know my patients and feel grateful for their choosing to work together to make their lives better.
